If we were faced with the two questions, "What have we given up on in life?" and "What could we not give up on?", what would our answer be? Have we ever thought about it? Which would weigh heavier? People love; they love life, nature, their homeland, other people, and all living creatures. They love without ever growing tired. They love those who enter their lives at any given moment, and even those who leave. There is no etiquette to loving. One loves however it comes from within. Like every other person, Topraksız Alkan loves however it comes from within him. What did he give up on, or what could he not give up on, to bring these verses to life? He loves to look at life like a poem and to write. Many of the works he has written have been turned into folk songs and are very well-loved. He knew Neşet Ertaş closely and witnessed many of his stories. His minstrel-like approach to life, reflected in the verses he writes for humanity, is greatly admired by people. Imagine a person who has succeeded in reflecting everything necessary for a human being in his verses, and reading these lines written for humanity will add great value.
