Açıklama
One of the leading branches of our traditional book arts, “Tezhip” has endured to the present day, fluttering around calligraphy on golden wings for centuries. Although it experienced a relatively brief period in our recent history, in recent years it has made significant strides toward attaining the recognition it deserves. This art, which students strive to learn through the traditional meşk method in teacher-student sessions held at various institutions and private studios, has always needed a guidebook to help them along the way.
The subjects covered in this second book by Hacer Sönmez, which brings together her long-standing teaching method between two covers, are the two fundamental motifs of the art of tezhip: rûmî and cloud. The various forms of rûmî and cloud patterns are explained with drawings and images of their application, while the principles of pattern creation and composition are also described. The book also includes relevant examples from among the finest works of our tezhip art. For information about materials, we recommend referring to Tezhip-1.
