The first philosophers wrote treatises on poetry. The tragic sense of life has always existed in human existence and has always been the path chosen by poetry and the poet. In Classical Ancient Literature, the best tragedies have always been written by poets: Sophocles, Euripides, Aeschylus; in English Literature, William Shakespeare; in Macedonian Literature, the best theatrical tragedy was written by Blagoja (Blagoya) Risteski Platnar.

In literature written in Bosnian, this was also evident when the poet Cemalettin Latić decided to write the tragedy that would tell the fate of Gazi Hüsrev Bey, and his heart trembled with excitement and his throat went dry!

It was evident, because his previously published works were like the brightest gold of poetic language, and this was the most valid currency in the world of theater, especially in the field of tragedy.

Cemalettin Latić directs the words and actions of his characters in such a way that all the characters are swept away in the relentless waters toward the vortex of inevitable tragedy—harmatiya—and while doing this, he does not reveal his intervention in any dramatic element. On the other hand, Latić presents an authentic, independent poetic language so masterfully, as it should be in every work worthy of mention in the genre of tragedy, that it is almost impossible to come across another example in literature written in Balkan languages.
