Çerge - Hakkı Erçetin | Turkish Book
Hakkı Erçetin's work "Çerge" takes us back to a time when production, rather than consumption, was the priority. This Turkish book tells of efforts to give fabric items that can no longer be used a new lease on life and create added value. What we would call a "recycling" activity today, çerge is the central theme of the book.
The book strives to prevent the different experiences lived, seen, and heard amid the swift current of time from being forgotten by putting them into words. Çerge is a work of profound and meaningful stories shaped by the author's personal observations and experiences.
Erçetin invites readers to follow the traces of the past and breathe new life into forgotten values. "Çerge" reminds readers not only of the importance of recycling, but also of the worth of the past and the value of memories.
