In a conversation, Peyami Safa said;
“A person’s desires reveal their character. Tell me what you want, and I’ll tell you who you are. Do you want a grain of millet? You are a sparrow. Do you want a lamb? You are a wolf. Do you want victory? You are a hero.”
Success is a journey, not a destination. Happiness lies along the way, not at the end of the road. For if it were at the end, by the time we reached it, the journey would be over and the time would have passed. The time to be happy is today, not tomorrow. A wise person does not grieve over what they do not have. They appreciate and rejoice in what they do have.
