Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “My Lord nurtured me, and how beautifully He nurtured me,” referring to the divine connection in education.
We would hardly be mistaken if we said, “Human beings are at the center of the universe.” For when we look at the cosmos, we see that everything was created for humanity. Accordingly, Almighty Allah has bestowed upon human beings a status He has not granted to other creatures and has entrusted them with responsibilities in view of their superior qualities. Therefore, people should be mindful of the responsibility entrusted to them and act accordingly.
In our book, we have tried to address the stages of an individual’s life concisely, from conception in the womb through adulthood, starting a family, and raising children. To help our children read without getting bored, we have included stories related to the topics wherever appropriate.
Our book consists of four sections. In the first, we discuss an individual’s education from the womb through high school. In the second, we cover the rights family members have over one another and the sons of prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. We share with readers their exemplary actions, which can guide and teach us. In the third section, we address education and instruction, which are of great importance for leading a good life. In the fourth, we discuss harmful habits that threaten the mental and physical health of our children and young people in particular, along with the consequences they bring.
Our hope is to provide readers (parents, teachers, and students) with useful information they can put into practice in their daily lives.
The effort is ours; success comes from Almighty Allah.
